What did the man who painted in Villars look like? How did our ancestors hunt? Did they live deep in caves? What animals did they live with? What did they eat?

In addition to the visit to the cave, a 700 m trail introduces you to Cro-Magnon Man.
Before or after your visit, come and learn about Cro-Magnon man and his environment.
You’ll find the answers to all these questions by visiting the Prehistoric Garden of the Villars Cave. It’s designed to be fun and educational, with quizzes, photo opportunities like Cro-Magnons, botanical panels, and reconstructions of prehistoric camps and animals. The whole family can learn more about our ancestors at their own pace.
Tour duration: approximately 1 hour – Accessible to strollers and wheelchairs.
The garden is accessible at no extra cost with a cave ticket. If you’re not visiting the cave, you can purchase a ticket for the garden only.
